Helping Students Succeed in School
OneLife Tutoring provides free one to one tutoring to low-income children in the
Wedgwood/Lake City community of Seattle.
Thursday Nights, 6-8 pm.
OneLife Tutoring is a FREE service to the community.
For the past 13 years we have been serving K-5th grade students referred to us by the local Seattle Public Schools for help in targeted areas such as reading, math, and writing. We contact teachers for specific information on how to help the student during the year and report on their progress to the parent and the teacher. All of our tutors must pass a Washington State Patrol background check, will be interviewed, & must go through our volunteer training, before being assigned a student.
Volunteers are needed for: Tutors, Kitchen Help, Substitute Cook, Van Drivers, and Van Assistants.
High School Service Hours Credits are available.
Transportation
Van service to and from tutoring will be provided to students in the Lake City neigborhood. The Director will schedule all students needing transportation from their home address. Contact Lauren Heerschap at the form below.
